Impossible Kinetic Sculptures for the Home
In this piece, I constructed impossible kinetic sculptures using functional everyday objects to perform highly nonfunctional, absurd movements. These sculptures cannot exist in real time and space, due to the limitations of the physical world. They are both funny and sad, thus a metaphor for so much of everyday life.

Sarah Buckius is an artist and educator who currently lives in Ann Arbor, MI and was born in 1979 in Urbana, Illinois. She teaches at Michigan State University as an Assistant Professor for the 2010-2011 school year. Her creative work interweaves photography, video, performance, and installation and ... etc. etc.
