In the social process of alteration not only the view of the human himself changes but also of the familiar and social structures.
Liberal commercial agreements and growing pressure on the production costs cause a rapid growth of global nets, whereby national and territorial marks of identity loose their importance.
Standardized solutions replace individual solutions and make global systems work on the one hand, on the other though they segregate merciless societies and individuals who don`t fit into the norm.
Baltensperger uses in the artwork "baltensperger" the language as a medium, that in his understanding gives identity since it is intuitively associated with regional identities.
Computer codes epitomize the modern and standardized language.
Stefan Baltensperger creates his own programming language in his personal dialect. Thus he extracts the code from his original meaning to be global, standardized and functional and gives him a fragment of his local and personal identity.
