Transcontinental Pixelstorm-Award 2009 ’Äì Call for entries
The Pixelstorm-Award challenges you to participate! After a long and successful tradition, the competition is carried out for the last time, this year.

+ Theme of the competition: Translation.
Translate your ideas into other languages: thoughts into words into images into sounds into emotions. Designers: talk to engineers / Artists: broaden your horizons to Everything Else / Scientists: share your knowledge with society! Translation makes sense and nonsense / Translation creates surprises, confusion and misunderstanding, but also understanding and dialog / Translation is constructive and conserving at the same time, it is subjective and objective, communicative and interpretative.
We are looking forward to your interpretations of this rich and ambiguous subject.

+ Conditions: Starting from September 9th 2009, 9:09 AM (PDT), entries can be uploaded onto the platform http://www.pixelstorm-award.ch Deadline for entries is September 30th 2009, 3 PM (PDT). Please be punctual, as the platform will be closed for uploads, after this. After a short check, the submissions are published online. We only allow submissions that are actually referring to the theme. We have the right to exclude submissions without notice. The organizers themselves are allowed to participate, however they can only run for the audience-award.

+ Form: Pictures, Videos, Interactive Art ’Äì Works in any format can be submitted, as long as they are presentable online. We wish for submissions that are tailored to the computer as an interactive medium, and to the World-Wide-Web. File size must not exceed 10 Megabytes.

+ Exhibits: Entries will be presented on the platform www.pixelstorm-award.ch

+ Prices: The golden pixel goes to the best and beautyfullest entry. The community will vote for the audience-award. The very first uploaded entry will win a special prize.
