Jury statements
Golden Pixel - Standby, Rob & HP FAQ 42
Immediately and unanimously, the jury decided the golden pixel should go to "Standby", by Rob & HP FAQ 42. The submission is humourous and yet poetic.
Sternschnuppe-Award - Sternbilder, Roman Schnyder
This submission also received the maximum number of jury-voices. The jury liked the way, in which "Sternbilder" brings together a community, and encourages people to collaborate and do their own designs. The jury thinks that this work shines out like a shooting star, and therefore merits the Sternschnuppe-Award (Sternschnuppe=shooting star).
Wachtraum-Award - Geometry Of Insomnia, Nina Todorovic
The jury would like to honour this non-moving, non-interactive work, which is a serious and yet mysterious contribution to the subject. We guessed for a long time how it was made, its atmospheric qualities refer to photography, digital image-processing, and 3D-Imaging, and yet none of the above seemed to be clearly the origin. Because of the scary and emotional connotations, and its sharp presence on the other hand, this work was given the Wachtraum-Award (daydream-award).
Nachtschicht-Award - Fusion, Paloma Lopez Grüninger
A work with strong images, that never completely reveal themselves to the spectators, which creates a dreamy quality. The only submission that takes notice of the fact, that the German word "Schicht" in Nachtschicht in German can be understood as "Layer": different Layers of night images like fading dreams: Simple but poetic.
Endless-Night-Award - Nachtschicht bei Equipo, Equipo
This work stands out because of its well done execution. It is funny, thought-provoking, humourous, but more than a simple joke. The jury members spent a long time, just watching the different behaviours and discovering more and more details. The jury thinks this piece is well done, and would like to encourage equipo to continue in this line.
